Every store has a beginning, and this is mine. I want to be mindful and warn individuals that this story mentions suicide. Be safe, grounded and mindful as you read along.

A couple of years ago, three significant events in my professional and personal life happened. First, I was officially licensed. Second, I worked with an amazing person who reminded me greatly of my father as they both struggled with PTSD, Bipolar disorder, and finding appropriate therapy and medication.
Third, not long after I stopped helping this patient and 6 months after his discharge, I learned that he had unfortunately taken his own life. The news hit me hard. I had never lost a client, so I was utterly shocked. I often wonder if I could have done more. I knew that it wasn’t my fault and that I had done everything that I could during our time together, but since this person reminded me so much of my father, I wondered what the pivotal difference in their individual journeys that led to vastly different outcomes?
These series of events led me to appreciate my father and his struggle, and his personal journey with psychedelics. After seeing how my father’s life changed after many many struggles I begun to wonder if these “altered” experiences could lead to “altered” healing notions.

So, as the true nerd that I am I immersed myself in all the research projects, trainings and certifications I could, so I could learn more about the spiritual journey of psychedelics within therapy.
To be clear, I don’t believe psychedelics “fix” everything, because as a lot of you might know, medication as and adjunct of therapy, could be really helpful too, but is not a fix all magical drug and neither are psychedelics. However, psychedelics did help my father renew and improve his own mental health journey.
After a full year I have trained with CIIS and MAPS to become fully certified and ready to begin this process for you guys. So I can give people that come into our practice something different. Something that hopefully can provide a new path into your healing journey!
